Description
The Nitecore P20UV lamp is similar to the standard P20, but it has a power of 320mw4 LED UV 365nm.
It’s a really tactical flashlight (check http://www.toughestflashlights.com/) with its double-breasted back allowing immediate access even lamp died out in strobe mode.
She develops an output of 800 Lumens as the P20, however the lighting distance is reduced (180 m against 210 m) because of the UV LED inserted in the deflector 4.
Its diameter of body of 25.4 mm allows to easily mount on a weapon. All these features make an ideal choice for those who want a great tactical flashlight of the P20.
A tactical remote switch is available as an option, Nitecore RSW2 reference.
Operating mode:
ON / OFF: Press the round button back and made the same operation to turn off the lamp.
Mode selection: The P20UV has 3 different operating modes for different users and for different uses.
Tactical mode: This mode contains only the Turbo mode and the UV output. It is ideal for Self defence, tactical operations and in emergency situations.
Mode forces the order: This mode contains the way, Turbo and the UV output modes, it is ideal for the security forces or the night patrols. Turbo mode is selected by default.
General mode: (Default output of packaging mode) this mode contains the low mode, average, Turbo and the UV output. When the lamp is on, press the Mode button to move cyclically between the different modes.
General mode has a memory of the last used mode allowing you to access the same way during the next startup.
NOTE: When you use the UV output, you have 13 hours of battery life with 18650 2600 mAh battery.
When the medium and the Turbo mode are used more than 3 minutes, the lamp automatically reduces the power to prevent overheating and prolong the battery life.
However, if you need these two modes for a longer period, selected the desired mode again.
How to select the mode you want:
1. make sure that the lamp is off
2. slightly loosen the head lamp
3. keep press the MODE button and simultaneously tighten the lamp head.
4. once the head is tightened, the P20UV will indicate the selected by a flashing mode.1 time for tactical mode, twice for the fashion force of order and 3 times for general mode.
5. to scroll through the 3 modes, just do manipulations 2 and 3 several times.
Instant strobe:
1. when the lamp is off, press the MODE button and the STROBE is activated immediately. To turn off, simply release the button.
2. when the lamp is lit in any other mode, keep the button press MODE for more than 0.5 seconds to activate the strobe mode. To exit mode, simply press the MODE button.
Battery level:
Two LEDS are built into the rear switch to know approximately the level of charge remaining in the battery.
The indicator will blink 3 times if the charge level is greater than 50% and twice if it is below.
NOTE: When the batteries are already installed and you want to know the charge level, unscrew the rear cap for 20 seconds before you tighten it for load indication.
